History & Heritage
Cornwall is full of history, so if you’re keen to immerse yourselves in the Cornish culture or learn at bit more about a county that has so much more than just beaches, you’re definitely in luck. From National Trust properties to art and culture, there’s plenty to learn, enjoy and explore.
Hall for Cornwall
The Hall for Cornwall is currently undergoing a major refurbishment, but when back open will be the home of some of the best theatre, arts and music productions in the South West of England! Check what’s playing during your stay….
National Trust Properties
We have a number of National Trust properties dotted about the Duchy. Lanhydrock House (pictured) is a great day out, as is Cothele, found in the East of Cornwall.
Tate St Ives
There are many reasons to visit St Ives and the Tate is another of them. If you enjoy the arts then it’s definitely worth a trip, as are some of the galleries you’ll find dotted around this picturesque town.
The Minack Theatre
Perched on the cliffs high above the Atlantic ocean, even if there isn’t a production playing, the Minack Theatre is worth a visit. It’s also around the corner from Kynance Cove – a fantastic beach!
